3. Color density test method

test tools:

①Measure the pressure star, and prevent the bar of the ink stick;

②Spectrophotometer;

③The most commonly used substrate, each anilox roller uses about 10 meters of substrate

Test Conditions :

The printing speed is the same (normal printing speed is enough), the scraper is the same, the ink is the same (choose cyan ink), the substrate is the same, only the parameters of the anilox roller are different.

Test Methods:

Use a spectrophotometer to measure the color density values of the 20 color patches on the printed product. It is recommended that each color patch be measured 3 times, and the average value of the color density is taken.

Test Results:

①You can evaluate whether the anilox roller's B C M value is uniform by the measured density values of 20 color patches. If the difference between the maximum color density value and the minimum color density value is greater than 0.05, it means that the anilox roller has poor uniformity; if the difference is greater than 0.1, it means that the anilox roller can be determined to be invalid;

② On the basis of verifying the B C M value, the new BCM value is inferred from the color density.

For the captain, only the BCM value can be recognized for the ink color depth of the printed product. There is no need to spend much effort to consider the relationship between the anilox roller's ink load and the ink transfer amount.

For label printing companies with multiple brands of flexo presses, the BCM value of the anilox roller can be calculated using the above method. Then, when the same printing product is printed on different flexo printing machines, the anilox roller can be easily selected.
