The relationship between the fault of flexographic printing and the printing plate

Case 1: Pasting / blocking, phenomenon: the side of the printing plate is sticky with ink or the word groove is blocked

the reason:

A. The ink distribution is even. It is recommended to use inks with good dispersion.

There are impurities in the B ink, it is recommended to filter the ink.

C text, patterns and dots are not suitable for printing. Suggestion: Consider the printing capacity of the printing machine and redesign.

The ink fountain roller pressure is inappropriate. Recommendation: Use reasonable pressure.

The pressure between the anilox roller and the printing plate and between the printing plate and the substrate is not properly adjusted. Suggestion: reasonable pressure adjustment.

The ink of other units is connected to the printing plate. Suggestion: Adjust the dry state and solvent volatility between the color groups.

G ink has high viscosity and large amount of ink. Suggestion: lower the viscosity.

The ink dries too quickly, clogging the printing plate groove. Suggestion: add slow drying agent appropriately

Relationship with the printing plate:

1. The plate relief is too shallow. Suggestion: It is best to use a bisection method for the plate relief and the base. For example: KY394JM-A base 2.00MM.

2. The gap between the fonts is close and the highlight is too shallow. Suggestion: Check the film darkness and reduce the main exposure time or make part of the printing mask.

Case 2: Graphic bleeding. Phenomenon: The pigment in the pattern is dissolved for diffusion flow.

 the reason:

A poor ink drying. Recommendation: Use appropriate solvents.

B is affected by the plasticizer or fuel in the printing material. Recommendation: Avoid using fuel-based colorants.

The stability of C ink (dispersed before printing). Suggestion: Stir thoroughly before using or replace the ink with stronger stability.

Relationship with printing plate: None.

Case three: adhesion, phenomenon: two surfaces adhere to each other (scratching)

the reason:

A poor ink drying. Recommendation: Use a complete drying system.

Improper use of B solvent. Recommendation: Use appropriate solvents to balance.

C is received in the state of hot coil. Suggestion: Cool the printed matter before coiling.

The pressure of winding up is too great. Suggestion: reduce the winding pressure.

Relationship with printing plate: None

Case 4: Raising, Phenomenon: The picture and text have irregular burrs

the reason:

The pressure of the anilox roller and the printing plate is inappropriate. Recommendation: Adjust the pressure.

Layout B inks dry quickly. Recommendation: Cover the ink fountain and use the appropriate solvent.

C plate reuse is not clean. Suggestion: Wash the plate before use.

D Destroyed when cleaning the printing plate. Recommendation: Use appropriate cleaning agents.

Improper pressure of the ink fountain roller. Suggestion: Adjust appropriately.

The F anilox roller does not match the printing plate. Suggestion: replace the anilox roller or printing plate (depending on the printed pattern).

Incorrect viscosity of G ink. Suggestion: replace the anilox roller.

The surface of the printing material is rough. Suggestion: replace the anilox roller.

Relation with printing plate:

1. The pattern is false. Suggestion: Whether the film is qualified, increase the exposure time.

2. Improper debonding of the printing plate. Recommendation: Fully debond the printing plate.
